The Crookston Girls Basketball team picked up a strong win over the Norman County East/Ulen Hitterdal Titans 55-22 at home on Friday, Feb. 13.
The Pirates dominated most of the game and limited the Titans to only seven baskets the entire game. Senior Chloe Boll led the team in scoring with 20 points and added three rebounds and three assists.
Juniors Madi Bruggeman and Brooklyn Waldal each added 11 points and had seven and eight rebounds, respectively.
The Titans were led by Madelyn Walstrom and Olivia Theis, who scored seven points each. The Pirates improved to 7-16 following the win, while the Titans dropped to 3-18.Pirates fall to Rebels
The Pirates girls basketball team was in action on Monday, Feb. 17, and lost to a skilled Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton team 73-35.
The Pirates held an 8-5 lead in the early minutes of the game but would be overpowered by the Rebels for the remainder of the game.
Crookston’s Chloe Boll scored 22 points in the game, while Madi Bruggeman and Grace Boll had six points each.
The DGF Rebels saw eight different players record points in the game. Leading the way was Danielle Boyd and Aria Garrett, who recorded 17 and 11 points respectively.
Crookston’s record fell to 7-17 following the loss, while DGF improved to 21-4 on the season.
